The Spadaccini Historical Group was born in 1974 in the Rocca District of Soriano nel Cimino; it comprises a standard bearer, musicians, drums, three-piston clarions, Emilia-style bagpipes and, of course, the swordsmen.

Over the years, they have performed in over 150 Italian centres and many European festivals, including the “Dias Medievais” in Castro Marim in Portugal, the “Kaltemberger Ritterturnier” in Germany, the Dollywood Festival of Nations in Tennessee (US) and several others in Tunisia, France, Spain, Hungary, Belgium and Luxembourg.

The Spadaccini Historical Group distinguishes itself by the originality of its spectacle, a unique phenomenon at national and international levels. Today, you can admire it in its full version, consisting of a spectacular combat sequence in pairs, quite removed from the classic patterns of historical fencing, as well as fascinating group exercises performed to the rhythm of music, in which swordsmen thrusts, slashes and parries in a figurative dance-like swirl. The show ends with the traditional human tower, a distinctive act of the group, which is performed as a tribute to the public.
